Body weight is often represented using 2D positioning and this is my attempt to try something a little different. Colour is often used to distinguish different data sets within the same image, however thermal imaging and some scanning techniques produce images where quantitive information is accurately represented by hue. Over a twelve month period I recorded my weight almost daily, each of these readings is represented here by a coloured cube which can be translated into pounds or kilograms using the key in the centre. On the left is the entire year to be read from top to bottom, this same data in shown on the right split into months. Any gaps in the data represent days when I have no data. The colours I have used relate to my emotions at the time, yellow to show I am happy with my weight, blue to show slight depression and magenta for anger and frustration.
