This is a visualisation of the money I spent in 2010. Each credit, debit card and ATM withdrawal is represented by a white bar, a perfect square being equal to £200. Transactions are grouped by month to show at what points throughout the year I spent the most. The position of these bars in relation to the red area tells us how close I came to spending all of my wages for that month, or in other words whether I am in the black or the red financially. University fees and Adobe software caused me to greatly overspend in September, and a MacBook Pro in April and a new television in August were also major purchases. The chart is intended to resemble a series of barcodes being scanned with a laser device.
